autoconf2.59 software package provides automatic configure script builder (obsolete version), you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install autoconf2.59
autoconf2.59 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the autoconf2.59 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep autoconf2.59 *
You will get with autoconf2.59 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
